First Contact: Skyping With Amsterdam

Skyping With Andre

When I first got to Nepal, I was surprised to find out that the house did have an internet connection, albeit a s-l-o-w one -- if we had power. I wanted to know if I would be able to Skype and indeed, I could. The kids were fascinated that I could talk to and see friends all the way in Amsterdam.

Kapturing Kathmandu

I am a 3-month volunteer at Ghar Sita Mutu - House With a Heart in Kathmandu, Nepal. Ghar Sita Mutu is a home for abandoned children, a women's skills training center, and a literacy training center. There is also a very active but unofficial community outreach program. The photos in this group are intended to kapture the good, the bad, & the ugly of life in Kathmandu. If you are interested in more info on Ghar Sita Mutu -- or on making a donation -- please check out their website at: gharsitamutu.org If you are interested in my experience as a volunteer in an under developed country, please check out my blog at: hwah.frandre.net Thanks for stopping by.
